We stride for the ones we fight for\, the ones we remember\, and the hope that we can continue to fight together! \nStride is a reminder that even small steps can create meaningful change. Year after year\, participants of all ages gather with bright shirts\, big smiles\, and hearts full of purpose\, proving that when our islands stand together\, we stride stronger. Whether you walk\, run\, cheer\, or volunteer\, your presence fuels awareness\, supports vital services\, and helps bring comfort to those who need it most \nThe event starts and finishes at Public Beach on West Bay Road\, where the whole family can run or walk 10km to the Wharf and back\, which is just over 6 miles. SUMMARY:Unified Stride Against Cancer 2022
DESCRIPTION:Stride Against Cancer is organized by the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and is the organization’s largest fundraising event it takes place on Sunday\, January 30th\, 2022.\nThe funds raised will help finance the Society’s many programs and activities. \nCancer touches everyone. What makes Stride Against Cancer different from other charity walk/run events is the connection that participants and volunteers feel with each other and with the cause. \nThere are over 1300 participants and more than 100 volunteers between the walk/run in George Town and the Mini Stride on North Side. Both events are non-competitive. \nAdditionally\, school children all around the island Stride Against Cancer within their schools on the Friday before the main Stride events. \nThe event attracts people of all ages and from all walks of life and truly reflects the diversity of the Caymanian community. It is a family event with people coming together united in the common goal of striding against cancer. \nWe hope you and your organization will join us and be a part of the largest walk/run in the Cayman Islands. \nSeven Mile Beach Stride\n\nStaggered start times for 1/4 Marathon (6.5 miles): 5:45am\, 6am\, 6:15am\, 6:30am\, 6:45am\, 7am\, 7:15am and 7:30am. To the Wharf Restaurant and back. Maximum 250 people in each start time. Start times are first come\, first served. You will receive a color wristband on arrival.\n1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) is a self-timed race with a 6am start.\n\nLittle Stride\n\nWill take place in Littel Cayman at Southern Cross Club.
