Wigs and Bras for Cancer Patients

We have handed over this important work to our friends at the Breast Cancer Foundation. They have several styles, colours and lengths of wigs for women who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy treatment. The wigs are available to cancer patients free. Contact the Breast Cancer Foundation at 345-923-1135 to find out more. If you would like to donate a wig, you are welcome to stop in and do so. Whatever you donate will be made available to someone who needs it.

We are also happy to report the Breast Cancer Foundation has also taken over the Bras for Breast Cancer Patients program as well. The BCF provides mastectomy bras for women who have had single or double mastectomies as a result of their cancer treatment. These bras are specially designed for breast cancer patients and are ordered at cost through a company in the United States – American Breast Care. If you are interested in purchasing a bra, the Breast Cancer Foundation, will be able to help you. Just call the office to schedule an appointment at 345-923-1135.

Miss Cayman Islands, Mariah Tibbetts cut 18.5 inches of her hair at the Miss Cayman pageant. Her older sister had cancer at 6 years old. As her final show of support for cancer patients at the end of her reign as Miss Cayman, she cut her hair. She will send her hair off island to the Little Princess Trust in the UK.

We encourage you to donate your hair at either Locks of Love, or the Little Princess Trust. Whoever you decide to go with, you will be impacting someones life.
