World Cancer Day Candlelight Vigil

World Cancer Day is a global initiative that unites people from all walks of life in the fight against cancer. By coming together, we can spread awareness, promote early detection, and support those affected by this disease. This event is not just a gathering; it’s a powerful statement of our commitment to making a difference in our community.

Candle-Lighting Ceremony

A Candlelight Vigil will be held on the Paseo in Camana Bay, on the 4th of February at 6pm (duration 1hr)

Imagine a serene evening as the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the Camana Bay Paseo. The air is filled with a sense of hope and unity as we gather to light LED candles, each flame representing a beacon of strength and remembrance. The fountain, illuminated in a majestic purple, stands as a symbol of our collective fight against cancer.

As you arrive, you’ll be greeted with warm smiles and the comforting aroma of light refreshments and canapés provided by Karoo. The atmosphere is filled with anticipation as Pastor Reinaldo Dracket presides over the service, and we hear inspiring words from our guest speaker, Heather Lockhart. Their stories and performances will touch your heart and uplift your spirit.

The setup is nothing short of magical, with tables and chairs arranged thoughtfully, LED candles ready to light up the night, and lavender flowers adding a touch of elegance. Signage and balloons guide you through the event, creating a festive and welcoming environment.

As the evening unfolds, you’ll enjoy beautiful music and song performed by Kate Allenger and Melody CK. Commemorative pins and t-shirts will be available as mementos of this unforgettable night. The entire area in front of the Crescent Fountain will be transformed into a haven of hope and solidarity, thanks to the incredible support of Camana Bay, who will light up the fountains and signs in purple for the entire month.
